January 28, 2016 —

Over the past year, human resources has solicited feedback on its programs and services. What the unit heard is that better communications are needed, both for human resources administrators and others.

“People have told me they would like to receive news on any updates or program changes,” says Greg Juliano, associate vice-president (human resources). “We want to share information with faculty and staff in a timely manner.”

Now, a new human resources e-newsletter will make it easier to learn about new programs, services and free professional development workshops. The newsletter is also intended to help human resource administrators across the university who administer the functions related to hiring and managing employees.

“We want to support and engage all community members to do their best work. Being collaborative and client-focused is key for us,” says Juliano.

He notes that human resource administrators can provide suggestions for the human resources newsletter by emailing hrfeedback [at] umanitoba [dot] ca

All suggestions are welcome.
