Round two of public feedback on the Pedestrian and Cycling Plan is open. If you are interested in seeing what the future holds for pedestrians and cyclists on the Fort Garry campus, then attend the open house and let us know what you think!

November 10, 2017 — 
Track your travel through GoManitoba for a chance to win great prizes! To be eligible for this contest, participants are asked to track at least 10 days worth of trips in their Commute Calendar for the month of November. Green Action Centre will be drawing dozens of names from the successful participants of the challenge. Just track at least 10 commutes using GoManitoba and you will be automatically entered!

Throughout the month of October, organizations, community groups and individuals gather together to promote sustainable behaviours and events across the province in celebration of Sustainability Month. This year the Office of Sustainability is hosting a wide range of events which are open to staff, students, faculty and the greater university community

October 2, 2017 — 
Starting October 2, a team of arborists will be on campus conducting a tree inventory for the entire Fort Garry campus. Throughout the month, the team will identify, photograph and measure every tree to assess its overall health.

Each year on September 28th the world comes together to celebrate Green Consumer Day, a day that highlights the problems of consumerism and its impact on the environment. Whether you are buying a large item like a refrigerator or grabbing your morning cup of coffee, there are things you can do to tread lightly on our planet.

What are the biggest problems faced by people in our community, country and worldwide? The World’s Largest Lesson introduces the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to youth around the world and unites them in action.
