New drop-in data visualization help sessions are available from UM Libraries in February and March 2024. Winter workshops and drop-in study sessions start January 18, 2024.

Libraries data visualization drop-in (New!)

Students of all levels are welcome to ask Meg Miller, Librarian for GIS & Research Visualization, anything about mapping, GIS, data cleaning, infographics, dashboards, Story Maps, or visualizing research data.

Apply for a $10,000 grant to create an open textbook

A new round of UM OER Grants (up to $10,000) is available to help faculty and instructors create digital, open access course materials. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-25 academic year.

Science Library closes for renovation beginning May 1, 2024

As part of the Machray Hall redevelopment, the Jim Peebles Science and Technology Library (Science Library) will be closed to walk-in use beginning May 1, 2024. Access to print and digital collections, librarians, and other services will continue to be available during the closure. The library will undergo a transformation, resulting in new student study spaces and services.

Try this five-part workshop series on knowledge synthesis & systematic reviews

Are you considering starting a systematic, scoping, or other knowledge synthesis project but don’t know how to get started? Attend UM Libraries’ five-part series beginning May 7 and explore all aspects of comprehensive searching for a systematic review project. If you are a grad student about to begin a project or just have questions, this series is a great place to start.
