Asper undergraduate team wins first place in not-for-profit case competition and gives back : Journey to success

April 1, 2024 —  Asper students Joshua Peterson, Tyler Roslinsky, Taylor Bially and Sanjana Sabu won first prize at the Alberta Not-for-Profit’s External Case Competition this February, bringing home a $1,500 cash prize, which they donated back to the not-for-profit organization that helped them prepare for the competition.

Moot Report 2024: Manitoba Team proudly represents at Bastarache Moot : Network News

April 1, 2024 —  The Bastarache Moot was recently held at the University of Ottawa from March 22 to March 24, 2024. This French-language moot recognizing the Honourable Michel Bastarache, a former justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, has been held annually since 2019. Brent Tichon (2L) was recognized as the 4th best mooter for his oral arguments during the competition (4e meilleur plaideur).

Connecting older adults with student companions : Editor's Picks

April 1, 2024 —  A new program aims to connect caregivers of adults within the UM community with students offering support through companionship services. The Adult Companionship Services (ACS) Directory, launched by Family Resources in collaboration with the Centre on Aging and the UM Age-friendly University Committee, will serve as a centralized hub to locate companionship service providers and post job opportunities.
