Winnipeg to host national student leadership conference

March 5, 2014 —

The Canadian Conference on Student Leadership is heading to the heart of North America for the first time in its history. Winnipeg has won the bid to host the conference in November 2015 as a collaboration between the University of Manitoba and Red River College. This three-day conference, organized “by students, for students” brings together hundreds of post-secondary leaders from across the country to participate in peer-led leadership development workshops, engage with exciting keynote speakers, network with other emerging and experienced leaders and acquire skills and ideas to bring back to their own communities.

Rich with multiculturalism and a thriving artistic community, Winnipeg is a city where people can experience a wide array of world-class arts and culture on every corner. Gathering students in this friendly and welcoming city full of Canadian history provides a cultural framework unlike anywhere else in the nation. This will give students the opportunity to experience leadership in a way that only Winnipeg can offer and learn from the diversity that rests at the heart of their country.
