The National Student Loan Service Centre launches new YouTube channel for students

October 22, 2020 —

Need help understanding your student loan? Looking for tips and tools on how to manage your loan once you’ve graduated? Current students and grads can now visit the National Student Loan Service Centre’s new YouTube channel for helpful information.

The National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) is the national organization that administers student loans to individuals who are pursuing post-secondary education. They help students through every step of the loan process, from when you’re in your studies, to repaying after you graduate.

Recently, there were changes to the program to help students and grads manage during the Covid-19 pandemic. For example, if you were in repayment status during summer 2020, NSLSC ensured all payments stopped until September 30th. Repayments begin again this month – but if you are having trouble with your monthly payments, don’t worry….there are options! Contact NSLSC for further information.

“The new YouTube channel will be a huge help to students,” says Laurie Schnarr, Vice-Provost (Students). “By offering timely information on the student loan program, students will be up to date on everything they need to know concerning their student loan.”
