September 10, 2020 — 
Unlike years past when socializing and getting to know new classmates were the norm during orientation, first-year students in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences started their 2020/2021 school year in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry/dental hygiene and rehabilitation sciences with orientation activities and welcoming ceremonies in mostly virtual settings.

September 2, 2020 — 
While the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry’s undergraduate clinic will look different when it reopens to patients on September 8, the same high-quality care the dental students, and their supervising faculty members, provide will remain the same.

August 11, 2020 — 
The summer 2020 issue of the RadyUM magazine is digital only and now available online.

July 16, 2020 — 
The lights are back on in some of the labs and world-class experiments have resumed.

June 30, 2020 — 
Instead of crossing the stage at a typical graduation ceremony, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences students participated in an unprecedented UM virtual convocation – and had the opportunity to view the celebration alongside family and friends on their digital devices.

June 10, 2020 — 
Students from team #331 finished their second term of the interprofessional collaborative care (IPCC) activities with a greater understanding of how teamwork among health-care professionals can have a positive impact on the health of patients.

May 19, 2020 — 
Two graduates of the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry’s pediatric dentistry graduate program were awarded the 2019 Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award.

May 1, 2020 — 
Professors and instructors from the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry are treating patients for dental emergencies at Health Sciences Centre (HSC) under a pandemic plan that went into effect this week.

April 20, 2020 — 
A Rady Faculty of Health Sciences professor has developed Canada’s first screening tool designed for non-oral health professionals to assess the risk of tooth decay in children under six.

April 6, 2020 — 
Over 600 students across the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences have stepped up to assist with COVID-19 response efforts.
