New CIBC bursary supports first year healthcare students

CIBC is investing $500,000 over two years in the education of tomorrow’s healthcare professionals. The CIBC Future Heroes Bursary Program pays tribute to the healthcare workers who are currently fighting COVID-19 and supports the next generation in their ambition of having a career in healthcare.

For the 2020/2021 academic year, 150 bursaries will be available to students entering their first year of a first degree, be it a bachelor or diploma in an eligible health care program, at 50 select Canadian registered colleges or universities, including the University of Manitoba.

Each bursary is valued at $2,500 for one year.

Eligible programs include medicine, nursing, respiratory therapy and the interdisciplinary health studies program.
