Back to Class: Creating Balance
The end of the strike is a relief for all of us at UM, but it may leave some students feeling confused, overwhelmed and unsure of how to navigate the remainder of Fall Term.
Normally, mid-December brings to mind the end of the Fall Term and has students focused on finishing their final exams and take-home papers. This December is a little different. Studying for and writing exams, while simultaneously attending classes is a new experience for most students. It may be tempting to avoid doing course work and only focus on finals, but this could backfire later. It’s a good idea to develop your plan to get you, or keep you, on track!
Back to Class: Creating Balance is a free, virtual session happening this week, designed to help you find ways to:
- Increase your motivation to restart interrupted classes
- Maintain balance between preparing for finals and restarting classes
- Keep a check on your stress levels
Join Stephanie Crook (Transition Specialist) and Amanda Angus (Academic Advisor) as they introduce you to a variety of strategies and tips you can start using today! Steph and Mandy will walk though what you can do on your own and introduce you to important people, resources and places on campus so you’ll know what help is available, and how to connect.
