The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning offers numerous ways to make your teaching more just and equitable.
We at The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning are excited to share our fall equity, diversity and inclusion offerings. Most workshops are in-person but there are a few on the list that are hybrid.
Workshops for everyone
A peer learning opportunity for anyone lead-teaching a course in Fall 2022. Meet with a cohort of UM instructors at the start and finish, and work closely with a small group of 3 to 4 others through the semester to strengthen inclusive pedagogies in the course(s) you’re teaching. Registration deadline Aug. 19.

- Aug. 31, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Opening full-group meeting
- 3 small group meetings in September, October, November (scheduled independently)
- Dec. 9, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Concluding full-group meeting
- Conversations on Inclusive and Anti-Racist Pedagogies (Hybrid: in-person and on Zoom)
