Shinerama 2014 begins
University of Manitoba students are taking part in Shinerama and are working hard today to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research.
They want to raise upwards of $40,000 by the end of the campaign and have already raised nearly $16,000.
Today, as part of Shinerama’s “Shine Day”, students will shine shoes around the city of Winnipeg and on the University of Manitoba’s Fort Garry campus. “Shine Day” ends at 4:30 p.m. today.
Shinerama is Canada’s largest post secondary student run fundraising campaign, with all funds raised going towards Cystic Fibrosis Canada for the 50th consecutive year! This will be the 29th year the University of Manitoba has participated in Shinerama.
The University of Manitoba’s Shinerama Committee is led by students from the I.H Asper School of Business on the Commerce Students Association.
