Discover your future in healthcare — recordings now available
Do you have a passion for science and an interest in helping others? If so, you may be considering a career in the field of health care.
Most of us are familiar with a few of the most well-known healthcare occupations. After all, we’ve likely visited a doctor for a cold, been to the dentist office for a routine cleaning with the dental hygienist, saw a physiotherapist for a sports injury, or observed a nurse in action caring for a loved one. However, many of us would be surprised to learn that there are many different occupations in the field of healthcare — more than we may have ever imagined!
Last month, Discover Your Future in Healthcare sessions were held to help students discover the many health care options available to them. Now, if you missed one or more sessions, you can watch the recordings back!
The recorded sessions include:
- Health Researcher
- Psychiatric Nurse
- Genetic Counsellor
- Physician Assistant
- Physiotherapist
- Midwife
- Respiratory Therapist
- Veterinarian
- Nurse and Nurse Practitioner
- Prosthetist and Orthotist
- Pharmacist
- Dental Hygienist
- Dietitian
- Occupational Therapist
Each session in the series offers the chance to learn first-hand about the occupation and will feature a professional (or two) from the field who will speak about their experiences in the role. Admissions and academic program information will also be highlighted.
