University of Manitoba Libraries (UM Libraries) needs your help to gain insight into how our facilities, services and collections are used, and how these can be improved to better serve your needs.

How are we doing?

The purpose of the survey is to capture library-user attitudes toward library services and spaces in order to improve the experience of the university community.

Apply for a $10,000 grant to create an open textbook

A new round of UM OER Grants (up to $10,000) is available to help faculty and instructors create digital, open access course materials. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-25 academic year.

Science Library closes for renovation beginning May 1, 2024

As part of the Machray Hall redevelopment, the Jim Peebles Science and Technology Library (Science Library) will be closed to walk-in use beginning May 1, 2024. Access to print and digital collections, librarians, and other services will continue to be available during the closure. The library will undergo a transformation, resulting in new student study spaces and services.

Try this five-part workshop series on knowledge synthesis & systematic reviews

Are you considering starting a systematic, scoping, or other knowledge synthesis project but don’t know how to get started? Attend UM Libraries’ five-part series beginning May 7 and explore all aspects of comprehensive searching for a systematic review project. If you are a grad student about to begin a project or just have questions, this series is a great place to start.
