U of M hosts international conference focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable migrant populations in Canada and beyond

June 12, 2018 —
Multicultural receiving countries, such as Canada, usually assist in the integration of immigrants and refugees by removing most barriers to their participation in their new homeland, often leading to positive outcomes and a stronger sense of belonging in the long run. As a result, this population is more vulnerable to poor educational, health, and social processes.
