A (busy) day in the life
June 26, 2015 —
At 35, Erin Kangas quit her full-time fundraising job and went back to school to become a nurse. Today, the third-year student successfully juggles her university classes, coursework and work practicum with the day surgery unit at St. Boniface Hospital; family life with husband Ryan, a high school phys-ed teacher, son Jacob, 8, and step-kids Camryn, 14, and Holden, 11; and a part-time waitressing job. Through it all, she’s managed to maintain a 4.11 GPA. Read more about Erin's busy day in the latest issue of TeachingLIFE.
