A lesson in fixing a flawed system

The Criminal Law Group of Robson Hall’s Manitoba Law Students Association hosted author, lawyer and child sexual abuse survivor on March 13, 2018 at the Faculty of Law. Gilhooly was speaking out about criminal justice reform for victims of sexual assault and sharing his story of surviving abuse at the hands of Graham James, the infamous junior hockey coach who has been convicted of abusing former NHL stars.

Best in the West, Robson Hall team claims 2nd place and Best Closing Argument at Sopinka Cup

As coaches, we are extremely proud of our team, Yassir Al-Naji and Ben Johnson, who placed second in the Sopinka Cup Moot Trial Competition held in Ottawa March 16-17, 2018.  In addition, Yassir’s powerful closing submissions - in a Crown case that had almost no merit - earned him the prize for best closing address!
