July 24, 2025 — 
The University of Manitoba’s Rady Faculty of Health Sciences welcomed students back to its Biomedical Youth Program (BYP) Summer Camp — a week-long immersive experience where youth explore careers in the health sciences through hands-on learning. After a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the camp returned this year with new programming. 

July 18, 2025 — 
Thirty years ago, when Moni Fricke [BMRPT/87, M.Sc./98, PhD/16] took a position as a physiotherapist in northern Manitoba, it was a decision that greatly influenced her life and career.

July 7, 2025 — 
The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences’ Student-Led Interprofessional Neuro Clinic, housed at Riverview Health Centre, welcomed its first intern from the College of Pharmacy this spring.  

June 17, 2025 — 
After several years of planning, a new community-led supported living complex in Sagkeeng First Nation is welcoming its first residents this month. 

June 11, 2025 — 
A new UM study is seeking Manitobans who have received cancer treatment over the past 10 years to take part in a survey about their physical rehabilitation needs. 

June 2, 2025 — 
Nearly 200 people turned out to Oscar Lathlin Collegiate in Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) on May 26 for the launch of a new initiative between the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and nine First Nations communities in Manitoba, supported by the University of Manitoba’s innovative partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. 

May 23, 2025 — 
This year marks the half-way point of a major 20-year Canada-wide study on the complexities of the aging process. Since it was launched in 2015, Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) has seen over 300 studies published using its data, including from researchers at the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.   

May 22, 2025 — 
Dr. Patricia Thille, associate professor of physical therapy, has received the Terry G. Falconer Memorial Rh Institute Foundation Emerging Researcher Award in the Social Sciences.

May 21, 2025 — 
For the past 33 years, the Students’ Teacher Recognition Reception has provided an opportunity for each faculty and school to nominate one outstanding graduating student, who in turn chooses two teachers—one from their K–12 years and one from their time at the University of Manitoba.

May 13, 2025 — 
For more than 50 years, the Rh Awards have supported the advancement of knowledge across disciplines at UM.
