July 5, 2024 — 
A group of researchers from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) has leadership roles in a national initiative to accelerate research and treatment for rare diseases in children. 

June 24, 2024 — 
An interprofessional group of Rady Faculty of Health Sciences students led a workshop recently for more than 40 people living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.  

June 20, 2024 — 
Each year, Indigenous Engagement and Communications and the Office of the Vice-President (Indigenous) recognize the efforts and achievements of the inspiring people that are working to make the University of Manitoba a better place. On June 20, ten student, staff and faculty honourees were recognized for their exceptional contributions at the 2024 Honouring our Indigenous Campus Community recognition ceremony.

June 12, 2024 — 
St John's college scholarships and bursaries provide University of Manitoba students with academic excellence as they look to continue their studies and move their respective careers forward in various ways. This year, the college was proud to present $200,000 worth of scholarships to students from faculties including, Science, Arts, Engineering, Asper School of Business, Nursing, Health Sciences, Indigenous students, and University 1 students, to name a few.   

June 6, 2024 — 
On May 21, over 30 faculty were recognized for exceptional teaching, research and service at a reception held at Marshall McLuhan in UMSU University Centre.

June 6, 2024 — 
The first group of UM midwifery graduates entered the profession at the College of Nursing’s spring pinning ceremony on June 4. Three students completed the program and received their professional pins, alongside 91 new nurses.

May 10, 2024 — 
The College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences hosted three Indigenous nurse leaders and alumni as part of National Nursing Week and Indigenous Nurses Day in Manitoba on May 8.

May 6, 2024 — 
After graduating from UM with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and working for a few years in emergency rooms and intensive care, Trinh Nguyen-Lu returned to the College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences as a clinical instructor in 2017. At the time, she had no plans to become a graduate student, but that changed when she saw that she could make a difference in preparing the next generation of nurses.

April 19, 2024 — 
Two Rady Faculty of Health Sciences early career researchers have recently been announced as recipients of awards from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

April 5, 2024 — 
The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences is partnering for the fifth time with Habitat for Humanity Manitoba to construct a home for purchase by a hard-working Winnipeg family.
