Over 50 workshops and sessions scheduled this fall

As you view LODReg, you will notice that events “new this year” are highlighted in blue, and items that are offered by online delivery are highlighted in green.

With many employees returning to campus this fall, most workshops and sessions are available in-person in 141 Education – LOD Learning Centre. We expect to offer several workshops, particularly those in our UM Management Fundamentals Program (UMMFP) and the UM Human Resources Essentials Program (UMHREP) in both online and in-person formats over the winter term.

New workshops this year include ‘Critical Dialogues’ exploring topics relating to clarity, nonverbal communication, listening, empathy and feedback; ‘Ethics: Organizational Stewardship’ covering topics relating to decision making, preventative measures and case studies; and ‘Mindfulness at Work’ offering an introduction of one or two mindfulness practices, guided mindfulness meditation, and an opportunity for reflection.

For more information on LOD programs and services, log into the UM Intranet, select “Employee Resources” and under “Learning and growth” select “Employee Career Development”.

As part of Human Resources support of employee development, Learning & Organizational Development (LOD) workshops are available exclusively to University of Manitoba employees.
