Faculty of Law announces major changes to LLM program : Network News

July 9, 2024 —  The University of Manitoba has approved changes to the Faculty of Law’s Master of Laws (LLM) program in the spring of 2024. Graduate program applicants starting their studies in September of 2025 will have the opportunity to choose to complete either thesis or course-based LLMs. As well, applicants are no longer required to have a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, but rather can apply with a non-law degree relevant to their proposed research area.

July 9, 2024 —  The business world doesn’t follow a syllabus. Assignments change with client needs, and a consultant’s success is measured not by a grade, but by their ability to uncover, understand and respond to those needs. Students learn this firsthand in the Asper School of Business’ unique experiential learning course, IDM 4050: Applied Business Consulting. While students are supported by their classroom learning—a thorough study of business theory and practice in their BComm—IDM 4050 challenges them to think about how they will use this knowledge to manage client relationships consult real businesses and not-for-profits.
