Join UM in the Manitoba Hydro Santa Claus Parade

We are thrilled to announce our participation in this year’s Manitoba Hydro Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 16. We are seeking 40 enthusiastic staff and faculty members to help us spread Bison holiday cheer throughout the streets of Winnipeg. 

As a volunteer, you’ll walk the parade route—approximately 2 km—decked out in one-of-a-kind Bison winter apparel. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, savour a cup or two of hot chocolate and share in the camaraderie with fellow UM colleagues. Our float will feature the UM Bison shuttle bus, providing a cozy spot to warm up if the evening gets chilly. 

The time commitment is from 3:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All participants will be required to walk the duration of the route. For those who use mobility aids, please feel free to join us in a way that is comfortable for you.
