Give teaching through entrepreneurship a second look
Entrepreneurial thinking is not just for business
If you happened to look at the new workshop from The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning entitled “Teaching Through Entrepreneurship” and thought to yourself I don’t teach business; that workshop doesn’t apply to me, we invite you to take a second look.
“Entrepreneurship” is a tricky word, and while start-ups are a part of it, more broadly, entrepreneurship is about solving real world problems and in the process developing competencies that are important for a world that’s complex and changing quickly.
Here at the University of Manitoba, entrepreneurship is recognized as one of the twelve types of experiential learning. We at The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning invite you to join Janine Carmichael, Faculty Specialist: Entrepreneurship, for a conversation about how we can embed more entrepreneurial thinking into our courses.
The “Teaching Through Entrepreneurship” workshop takes place on March 19th at 10:00 AM. Register now!
