From Planning to Progress
Seeking volunteers to support the implementation of our strategic plan
Earlier this month, UM launched its new strategic plan, MomentUM: Leading Change Together. Our next steps will be to develop an implementation plan that sets us on a path to achieve our strategic goals.
A Strategic Plan Implementation Committee will be established, led by Dr. Diane Hiebert-Murphy, Provost and Vice-President (Academic). The committee will include representatives from faculty, staff, and students, and will work together to:
- identify key indicators used to measure success of the plan;
- engage with academic and administrative units to develop unit-level plans; and
- report annually to the community on our accomplishments and challenges.
The preliminary work of the committee will also be informed by the advice and feedback from a number of focus groups made up of representatives from across our community.
The committee is expected to hold its first meeting in early June and will work on developing the implementation process over the summer. Broader consultation, including work with the focus groups, is planned for the fall term, with the identification of key indicators and an implementation plan update reported back to the community for the end of year.
If you are interested in participating in this process, either as a member of the committee or as a member of a focus group, please fill-out and submit a Strategic Plan Implementation Volunteer Form by Monday, May 13, 2024.
