Dr. Michael Eskin doubly honoured for achievements

Dr. Michael Eskin, Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences, has been recognized with two prestigious awards for his many accomplishments.
Earlier this year it was announced he was being named to the Order of Manitoba, the province’s highest honour. It is given to Manitobans who have demonstrated excellence and achievement, thereby enriching the social, cultural or economic well-being of the province and its residents.
Then in September, Dr. Eskin was elected a fellow of the of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), the country’s most esteemed association of scholars, scientists and artists. The RSC is considered the highest honour an academic can achieve in the arts, social sciences and sciences. The RSC’s mission is to recognize scholarly, research and artistic excellence, to advise governments and organizations and to promote a culture of knowledge and innovation in Canada and with other national academies around the world.
