CBC Manitoba: Louis Riel day may be on Monday but the University of Manitoba is celebrating today

Angie Bruce, the new Vice-President (Indigenous) spoke with CBC’s Information Radio as she celebrates festivities with the UM community on Friday, Feb. 16, in advance of Louis Riel Day.

This is the first year Riel, a Red River Métis leader, will be recognized as the honourary first premier of the Province of Manitoba.

Introducing Residential Schools 101

As the community engagement and education program coordinator at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR), Sandra Bender has seen a growing demand for presentations on the topic.
