September 12, 2025 —  This September marks the SWC’s two-year anniversary, providing UM students with a space to prioritize wellbeing and connect with supports. If you haven’t checked out the space in the past year, this fall is a great time! Start off the term by prioritizing wellness.

September 12, 2025 —  This free event runs 10 am to 2 pm on September 14 the Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre, just 15 minutes south of Winnipeg.

September 12, 2025 —  First-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences marked the start of their journey with a white coat ceremony on Sept. 8 at the Frederic Gaspard Theatre, University of Manitoba Bannatyne campus. 

September 12, 2025 —  UM Libraries is thrilled to welcome award-winning poet Duncan Mercredi as the first UM Libraries Knowledge Keeper.

September 12, 2025 —  For 17 years, Rainbow Gardens has supported new immigrant families in Winnipeg. Located on the Fort Garry campus, the two-acre plot helps community members grow their own food, share their native culinary traditions and establish meaningful social networks with other immigrants and local community members.

September 11, 2025 —  Students and recent grads at the University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg and Brandon University took part in the Manitoba edition of a Falling Walls Competition on Sept. 10, for a shot to go present their science or business-focused idea in November at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin, Germany which draws other competitions from 60 other nations across the globe.

September 10, 2025 —  The Merit Awards recognize excellence in teaching, research, scholarly and creative work, service, and include a special category dedicated to Indigenous Achievement. Congratulations to all the recipients of the 2024 Merit Awards.

September 10, 2025 —  The occupational therapy (OT) program at the College of Rehabilitation Sciences welcomed its largest incoming class on Aug. 26 in Frederic Gaspard Theatre on Bannatyne campus.
