Part-Time/Summer Employment/Casual Opportunities

  • Nursing student, Victoria General Hospital is recruiting for a Health Care Assistant. Apply before January 11 under Requisition Id: 373248.
  • Innovation, Science And Economic Development Canada – Telecommunications and Internet Policy Branch is hiring for Summer 2025 3 Junior Policy Analysts.  Full details on how to apply can be found here:  English or French. Deadline to apply is January 17.
  • Manitoba Hydro is now recruiting for various summer employment opportunities! To be considered for career-related positions, complete the summer student application questionnaire by January 31.   • BGC Winnipeg (Boys and Girls Club of Winnipeg) is hiring for 20 Instructors – Children Summer Learning Program. Posting closes on February 2.
  • City of Winnipeg is hiring for the seasonal 2025 season, closing date for these positions is April 1;  Utility 3 – Insect Control Branch – Job ID 125314 and Technical Assistant – Naturalist Services – Job ID 125393

 Full-Time/Co-op/Internships

  • The Forks is hiring a Digital Engagement and Analytics Coordinator, closing date for applications is January 8.
  • Interested in a summer Co-op position at Manitoba Hydro? Submit a student application questionnaire by January 31 to be considered for career-related positions. Don’t forget to include your resume and cover letter. Visit their website to learn more!

Career Fairs, Information Sessions, and Conferences

Career Fairs, Information Sessions and Conferences provide an excellent way for you to learn more about your field, to network and to find the opportunities available in it.  Employers attend career fairs and trade show booths to inform students of future opportunities as well as look for talented students/graduates for current positions. Check out these upcoming events!

  • Stu Clark Course: How to Start a Side Hustle, a 6-week online course that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to transform your ideas, skills, and expertise into a new line of income. The Stu Clark Centre is sponsoring a maximum of 20 spots in the course, which means it is FREE for the 20 selected participants (all current students, alumni, and staff are eligible to apply). Deadline to apply is January 17.
  • Are you looking to connect with employers and investigate potential opportunities? Are you looking for a summer, part-time or full-time job? Do you want to learn more about graduate and certificate programs? JOIN us for the 2025 UM Career Fair on January 22 and 23 To help you prepare, attend the Career Fair Preparation Workshop on January 15 (Virtual from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.) and January 16 (In-person from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.) 
  • North Forge’s RampUp Weekend – April 11-13. North Forge’s RampUp Weekend is an intense, hands-on event where aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and tech enthusiasts come together to develop startup ideas from concept to viable business plans within a short time frame, typically 50 hours.
