Watch where our story is taking us

April 23, 2024 —

When we launched MomentUM: Leading Change Together, a few weeks ago, the energy in the room was hopeful and proud. Then I felt the mood amplify when we introduced our inspiring new brand story at the event. It reminds us of what connects us as a herd. It celebrates our collective determination to weather whatever troubles the world delivers as we charge towards a better future.

Every day, this incredible community of faculty and staff are proposing and pursuing ideas that are helping us change our world, and we’re getting noticed. This year we hosted multiple contingents from foreign governments who were eager to learn from us. And the eyes of the nation looked to us this spring when we celebrated a $5-million gift to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation to support a new, permanent home in Southwood Circle.

We launched new teaching and learning programs and cheered Bisons athletes to tremendous success. We supported moving performances of musicians and actors, and pieces by artists on this campus. We celebrated big awards and new research grant programs, like Ignite.

There’s so much more to celebrate, but I’ll let the video say the rest.

Congratulations on finishing another great academic year. Thank you! All the best this summer.

Sincerely,
Michael Benarroch, PhD
President and Vice-Chancellor
