UM Learn System Refresh on May 5th

A UM Learn system refresh is scheduled for May 5th. The system refresh will include new visual elements, promote continued improvements for accessibility, and promote a consistent experience across all devices – including tablets and mobile phones.

The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will be providing opportunities for program coordinators, graduate students, and instructors to learn more about the upcoming system refresh – to register, visit The Centre’s

A few highlights:

After a successful login to UM Learn, the ‘My Courses’ section includes a new visual element to promote quick course identification and access (see figure 1).

Course navigation now provides quick access to course content (see figure 2).

Mobile design standards that result in a consistent experience across all devices including tablets and mobile phones (see figure 3).

Entrepreneurial mindset reaps rewards at Better Together

The University of Manitoba continued its support of entrepreneurial thinking with a second Better Together learning event November 12 and 13, hosted by The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. Fittingly held during Global Entrepreneurship Week, the event brought together nearly 50 participants from 11 different faculties together in a non-competitive design sprint to solve real challenges facing the university.
