Pride Month is almost here and we look forward to celebrating our vibrant and diverse UM community!

This is an important time for the university to demonstrate our commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive community, and to show allyship with two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual, and other sexual or gender identities (2SLGBTQIA+).

We would love to hear about all the different events happening at UM during Pride Week (May 24 to June 2) and throughout Pride Month. Simply fill out the UM Pride Events form to share your event details so we can help promote a full itinerary of events taking place on our campuses.

Save the date and sign up today to join UM at the parade on June 2, when UM will once again come together to proudly participate in the Pride Winnipeg Parade.

From Planning to Progress

A Strategic Plan Implementation Committee will be established, which will include representatives from faculty, staff, and students. Those interested in participating, whether as a member of the implementation committee or as a member of a focus group, can submit a volunteer form.

Prioritizing mental health and wellness

UM is commencing a process to develop a new Mental Health and Well-being strategy for the whole university. This step will build upon previous mental health and wellness initiatives to design a robust and comprehensive strategy that reflects present-day opportunities and challenges.
