YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction Award 2012

On Wednesday, May 2nd the YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction Awards gala was held to celebrate Manitoba’s exceptional women. Nominated for an award from the Faculty of Education was Dr. Zana Lutfiyya, Associate Dean (Graduate & Professional Programs, and Research) and Education Graduate Student, Catharine Teichroew.
Dr. Lutfiyya was nominated for her contributions to and advocacy of people with disabilities.
Catharine Teichroew was nominated and received the ARTS, YMCA Women of Distinction Awards for her creation of unique and innovative materials for other educators to use in their classrooms.
