Campus Life provides university access to students with special needs

YES I CAN! Award

Accepting the Yes I Can! award (L-R): Suzanne Fast, Tabitha Stephenson, Trevi Freeze, and Dr. Robert Macmillan

On February 23rd, the Manitoba Council for Exceptional Children recognized the Faculty of Education, Campus Life program for it’s trailblazing efforts to provide students with special needs access to university at its 22nd annual Yes I Can! award ceremony.

Campus Life program coordinator, Trevi Freeze was thrilled to learn about the award and credits the programs success to its students. “Although we have successfully supported students and demonstrated that our model works, the credit for the success of the Campus Life program must go to the students. Their dedication and enthusiasm for higher learning has paved the way for future students. This award recognizes their hard work.”
