Working with older adults workshop series

The Faculty of Social Work is offering workshops to improve and expand community workers’ knowledge and skills in working with older adults when providing intervention and support on specific issues.

Upcoming Workshops:

Gambling, Substance (Ab)use & Other Addictions in Older Populations
The workshop focuses on describing and explaining behaviour, characteristics, and risks related to addictions in later life, as well as intervention strategies and techniques, followed by discussion on policy and program development.

Presenters: Deb Kostyk, BSW, MSW, RSW, CACC & Esther Tran, B.A., ACCP, CPGC, CCAC

When: Thursday, November 22, 2018, 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Where: 409 Tier Building, Fort Garry Campus
Fee: 25$ for Non-Social Work students
