UMSU Holiday Hampers

UMSU’s 2017 Holiday Hampers Program is here!

November 10, 2017 —

The Holiday Hampers Program is a wonderful initiative that supports University of Manitoba students during the Holiday Season. Last year, the University of Manitoba Students’ Union (UMSU) helped 150 students, providing them with a basket of goods for the holidays, as well as new and gently used toys for their children.

There are three ways to get involved – you can adopt, sponsor, or donate to a hamper.

Adopt a Hamper

Purchase the items for either a small (1-3 persons, about $150-200 cost) or large hamper (4-7 persons, about $400-$500 cost) and drop the Hamper off at the UMSU office to be delivered. If the family has given consent, you may also be able to deliver it to them personally!

If you would like adopt a hamper, or donate, please send me an email to vpa [at] umsu [dot] ca.

Sponsor a Hamper

You can:

  • provide the funds to supply a small or large hamper; Small $200 and Large $500,

or

  • provide the items for a small or large hamper and UMSU will deliver the hamper on your behalf

If you would like sponsor a hamper, or donate, please send me an email to vpa [at] umsu [dot] ca.

Donate to a Hamper

You can:

  • have a donation station in your faculty to collect items for the hampers. UMSU will provide the list of needed items. After the collection period, UMSU will compile the items into a complete hamper and deliver it to the family/student.

and/or

  • collect toys or donate money for our Toy Drive!
