UM Law adapts to online campus with Virtual Tour and community-building media

October 8, 2020 —

With the COVID-19 pandemic keeping most University of Manitoba buildings closed for the 2020-2021 academic year, the Faculty of Law and the community that would normally gather in Robson Hall, including the Master of Human Rights program and the Centre for Human Rights Research, has turned to alternate means to keep in contact. This has proven to be especially necessary to welcome first year juris doctor and graduate program students, and give them a sense of what being a part of the community is like.

While nothing beats in-person contact, the Faculty has sought to foster a closer relationship with its students, faculty, staff, instructors and alumni by sharing photos and videos on its various social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.

The Faculty has posted short videos introducing some of its professors, instructors and staff on the its Youtube Channel.

To give prospective and new students a sense of what being in the building is like, the Faculty created a “Virtual Tour” of Robson Hall. Please take a look!
