Science students win silver at international biotech competition

Competing against more than 350 teams from nearly 50 countries, Prairie iGEM was awarded the Silver Medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine Foundation Grand Jamboree in Paris.

Science students to compete in Paris – win international biotech grant for zebra mussel control device

Once again, the University of Manitoba is amongst some of the world’s leaders in interdisciplinary research and application. UM’s Prairie iGEM Team, a group of undergraduate students led by Dr. Hans-Joachim Wieden, are this year’s recipients of the Impact Grant from the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Foundation.
