Almost half of all military personnel in Canada have a history of child abuse exposure, UM study finds

Study found that such exposure was associated with an increased risk of suicidal behaviour. The risk had a stronger effect on the general population than military personnel, and the effect of exposure to child abuse was stronger than the effect of actual deployment-related trauma.

A Dean looks back on an illustrious career

Fifty years ago, only 17 students graduated from what was then known as the School of Medical Rehabilitation. Today, over 150 students graduate from the occupational therapy, physical therapy and respiratory therapy programs every year and there are approximately 3,000 alumni.
