May 21, 2024 — 
Dr. Sarah Cooper, [BES(York), MCP(Manitoba), PhD(UIC)], has been named the recipient of the Olive Beatrice Stanton Award for Excellence in Teaching. She will receive the award at Spring Convocation on the morning of June 5.

The newest doctors, dentists, dental hygienists and pharmacists to graduate from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences received their degrees on May 16 at morning and afternoon Spring Convocation ceremonies on the Bannatyne campus.

Spring convocation ceremonies for the Bannatyne campus will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, starting at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm.

Convocation ceremonies for Spring 2024 graduates will be held on May 16, 2024 (Bannatyne campus), from June 4 - 7, 2024 (Fort Garry campus ) and on June 10, 2024 (Université de Saint-Boniface).

Every year, the University of Manitoba and broader communities gather at the Fort Garry campus to celebrate Indigenous graduates at the Annual Traditional Graduation Pow Wow. While the faces may change from year to year, one thing remains the same: the sense of excitement in the air.

November 16, 2023 — 
On November 5, 2023, St John’s college celebrated four new Honorary Degree Recipients at our Convocation in the Chapel, recognizing these inspiring individuals for their contributions to both the College and the University, as well as the broader community. The 2022/23 Honorary Degree Recipients that we recognized included The Honourable Patricia Bovey, who received the Doctor of Canon Law (honoris causa), Brian Bowman, who also received the Doctor of Canon Law (honoris causa), Vincent Solomon, who received an Honorary Fellowship, and Brenda Cantelo, who received the Fellow’s Recognition Award.
