Students invited to discuss proposed Bachelor of Social Work curriculum

November 30, 2020 —

The Faculty of Social Work would like to invite all current Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students to attend a town hall meeting to obtain your feedback on our proposed new BSW curriculum, to be implemented in Fall 2022 with Senate approval. This newly formulated curriculum is a culmination of a few years of assessment and consultation with faculty members, community members, students, and other constituents.

This re-visioned BSW curriculum has a clear focus on Indigenization, Reconciliation and Decolonization. The new curriculum also conceptualized under domains of social justice and human rights, professional values and ethics, and community wellness. Students will have more opportunities to choose more electives they find relevant to their social work practice.

This is a great chance to have your inputs on the new curriculum. No registration is needed. Please use the link to join for a discussion.
