Research participants needed: Brain imaging research study

The purpose of this study is to examine how the brain changes after certain events. The study is aimed at better understanding how the brain changes after an individual has been exposed to trauma. You do NOT need to have been exposed to a traumatic event to participate in this study.

Your participation would involve an interview, completing various paper/pencil tasks, plus 2 MRI brain scans. You will be paid $20/ hour for your time & effort, for up to a total of 9 hours.

To participate in this study, you must be competent to provide informed consent. Additionally, you must:

  • be 18-65 years of age
  • not have any major medical or neurological illness
  • not be pregnant, not have metal implants, and not be afraid of small spaces (due to MRI)
