Bison football team will play Thunderbirds at UBC for Canada West semi-final
The University of Manitoba Bison football team will take on the UBC Thunderbirds on the road after a 24-10 loss this past weekend.
The Canada West semi-final takes place this Saturday at 2pm Central Time and will be aired live on Global. The Bisons look to defend last year’s Hardy Cup victory.
WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYOFF:
After making it into the post-season for the first time since 2012, the Bison women’s soccer team fell in the Canada West quarter-final match to Grant McEwan University 2-0 in Edmonton.
HOCKEY:
The Bison men’s and women’s hockey teams swept their Calgary Dinos counterparts over the weekend.
The women won at home 3-2 on Saturday and 5-0 on Sunday, while the men took their wins on the road beating Calgary 3-1 and 5-2.
VOLLEYBALL:
The Bison men’s volleyball team had an impressive weekend defeating Grant MacEwan Griffins 3-0 and 3-1 on Friday and Saturday respectively.
The Bison women’s volleyball team split their weekend series with the Griffins. They lost 3-2 on Friday but came back strong to win 3-1 on Saturday.
