June 3, 2025 —  The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) selected Jamie Coverini, a Master of Landscape Architecture graduate, to receive the 2025 Student Award of Excellence for her thesis work. This award recognizes and promotes excellence in student work in an accredited landscape architecture program in Canada.

First Nations partner with UM to “grow our own” rehabilitation specialists starting in junior high : We are all Bisons

June 2, 2025 —  Nearly 200 people turned out to Oscar Lathlin Collegiate in Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) on May 26 for the launch of a new initiative between the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and nine First Nations communities in Manitoba, supported by the University of Manitoba’s innovative partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
