Master of Landscape Architecture Student Recognized as Runner-Up
Adrianna Anastacio, a master’s student in landscape architecture, received an honourable mention at the Melville Park Design Competition. This competition, organised by Longridge Partners, a Canadian investment firm, provided an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and innovation in landscape design and business development in 2025. Participants were invited to submit landscape design proposals and business development plans that proposed inventive uses for Melville Park, a 2,000-acre prime parcel of Ontario and part of the Longridge portfolio.
Adrianna Anastacio’s project, “Regenerative Escape: A Framework for Rural Wellness Tourism in Caledon, Ontario,” imagines Melville Park as a getaway that combines hospitality, eco-friendly farming, and outdoor recreation. Her proposal aims to provide a development model that puts regeneration above extraction.
