ABEP students at the 2014 Excellence in Aboriginal Business Leadership Awards

New Bursary in Aboriginal Business Education

September 14, 2015 —

Aboriginal Business Education Partners (ABEP) at the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business will offer three new bursaries beginning October 2015.

The Pauline and Roger Presland Bursaries in Aboriginal Business Education – Select Manitoba College and Select Manitoba University Diploma Graduates Awards are worth $5,000 each. Eligible students will demonstrate financial need, sustain a minimum 60% course load, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. The award may be renewable for students who continue to meet these requirements.

Priority will be given to students admitted to the Asper School of Business through its Joint Programs with Manitoba Colleges. If there is no qualified applicant from the Joint Program with Manitoba Colleges, ABEP will offer the award to an applicant who is otherwise eligible – including Direct Entry students.

ABEP is a community of Aboriginal students (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) pursuing Bachelor of Commerce degrees at the Asper School of Business. ABEP provides a variety of services and opportunities, including a growing number of scholarships and bursaries.

To apply for this award, contact Tiffany Monkman at 204.474-9508 or tiffany.monkman@umanitoba.ca, or visit 354 Drake Centre.

Application deadline: September 25, 2015.
