MT180 Competition is live April 13, 2023

The 4th annual 2023 MT180© competition will be broadcast live on YouTube on April 13, 2023 at 5:00pm.

This year’s competition has 7 challengers sharing their research projects in simple terms to a non-specialized audience in French. The UM competition allows both master’s and doctoral students the opportunity to compete, and the top placing doctoral challenger will advance to the National final being held on May 10 at the Acfas Congress in Montreal.

This year’s challengers are:

Amanda Belanger – Biological Sciences; Thesis Title: Variation saisonnière de l’alimentation du beluga.

Aurelien Caron – Human Anatomy and Cell Science; Thesis Title: Les cellules souches du poisson-zèbre pour la régénération du cerveau.

Brian Si Nhat Nguyen – Food and Human Nutritional Sciences; Thesis Title: Étude sur la potentialité nutraceutique des polyamines dans l’orge.

Courtney Marshall – Immunology; Thesis Title: Les différences sexuelles dans la modulation de l’inflammation des voies respiratoires par lespeptides régulateurs de la défense innée.

Ernest Edoh – French, Spanish and Italian; Thesis Title: L’esclavage et la colonisation au fondement du racisme dans le monde.

Sara Telles-Langdon – Physiology and Pathophysiology; Thesis Title: ​Une comparaison entre les graines de lin et les inhibiteurs de l’enzyme de conversion de l’angiotensine dans le traitement de la cardiotoxicité induite par la chimiothérapie.

Trevor Grey – Canadian and Intercultural Studies; Thesis Title: ​Médias et vitalité sociolinguistique en Fransaskoisie.
