Join UM in the Manitoba Hydro Santa Claus Parade: Grey Cup Edition

We are thrilled to announce our participation in this year’s Manitoba Hydro Santa Claus Parade: Grey Cup Edition on Saturday, November 15th. We are seeking enthusiastic students, staff and faculty members to help us spread Bison holiday cheer throughout the streets of Winnipeg.

Our parade entry will feature the UM Bison shuttle bus wrapped with thousands of string lights and representation from UM staff, students and faculty members.

As a volunteer, you’ll walk the parade route—approximately 2 km—decked out in one-of-a-kind UM Bison winter apparel. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, a cup or two of hot chocolate and share in the camaraderie with fellow UM colleagues.

The time commitment for the parade is from approximately 3:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All participants will be required to walk the duration of the route. For those who use mobility aids, please feel free to join us in a way that is comfortable for you.
