Join us on March 21st at 7:00pm for this year’s Joan Irvine Lecture. Dr. Nicholas Ng-A-Fook will join us for a reception and lecture.
During this presentation, Dr. Ng-A-Fook will offer a partial and situated overview of the possibilities and limitations of such truth, and then reconciliation research, curriculum, and pedagogies, in response to what we some call a neoliberal Age of Apology here in Canada.
Dr. Ng-A-Fook is a professor of curriculum theory and the Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Ottawa. He is actively committed toward addressing the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action in partnership with local Indigenous and school board communities. He is currently part of several research projects that seek to disrupt settler colonialism, systemic racisms, and inequities across the school and university curriculum.
