• First Nations Health and Social Secretariat of Manitoba is hiring a Research Assistant for summer 2024. Position open until filled.
• Manitoba Environment and Climate Change is hiring a Water Quality Reporting Assistant for Summer 2024. Deadline is April 24. Note that the student must be registered with STEP services to accept this position.
• The University of Manitoba is hiring a Grader/Marker 2 for FMLY 1010 (CUPE TA) (32209) for Summer 2024. Deadline is April 25. There are many other Grader/marker positions available in other departments.
• The Manitoba government is hiring a Camp Cook (42687) for Summer 2024 in Snow Lake, MB. Deadline is April 26.
• True North Sports and Entertainment is hiring a Facilities and Grounds Assistant, Camp Manitou. Position open until filled.
• The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is recruiting for the Indigenous Health, Summer Student Program. The positions are open to First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Students in Winnipeg. Deadline is May 3.
• Wynchemna is hiring for summer 2024 to teach English and sports in Calgary. Term is June 20-August 25 with a variety of options for how many weeks you commit to.

• Downtown Winnipeg Biz is hiring for the Streetscape Summer Team. Term is May 1- August 31 and pay is $16.00/hour. Position open until filled.

• The Community Services Department is hiring Summer 2024 Recreation Technicians (124156) for wading pools, recreation facilities, and preschool, children’s, and youth summer programs.  Deadline is June 28.
• The Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) has a variety of work opportunities, both part-time and full-time for students. • The University of Manitoba is hiring an HR and Financial Assistant – Admin Assistant 1 (AESES) (32271) to start June 3. Deadline is April 25.
• True North Sports and Entertainment is hiring an Account Executive, Ticket Sales. Deadline is May 3.
• Indigenous Services Canada is seeking a graduate for a full time CR04 position. They are looking for graduates with previous Government of Canada student experience (co-op, Federal Student Work Experience or Research Affiliate) who can use the bridging option. Career Fairs, Information Sessions and Conferences provide an excellent way for you to learn more about your field, to network and to find the opportunities available in it.  Employers attend career fairs and trade show booths to inform students of future opportunities as well as look for talented students/graduates for current positions. Check out these upcoming events!

• Falling Walls Lab will be happening on September 11. It is a global pitch competition uniting students and professionals with breakthrough ideas. This event supports innovation and communication skills, promoting collaboration and sustainability. Academic institutions worldwide host these labs, allowing participants three minutes to present solutions to pressing challenges. Applications due July 15.
• UM Café is an online networking and mentoring platform designed to introduce students, alumni and industry partners to one another who meet to exchange knowledge and advice. UM Café is hosting an upcoming virtual Office Hour on April 24 at 3 p.m. The virtual event is called “Land Your Dream Job: Top Career Skills Employers Are Looking For”.  Attendees will learn from industry experts and researchers about the skills that are in demand which is helpful to have while considering today’s job market!
• The Loblaw Early Talent Virtual Summit is happening April 25 from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. for Finance, Category Management, Retail Merchandising, Loblaw Real Estate, Procurement, operations, marketing & brands teams.
• TechMB is hosting their next virtual Career Connections ** event on May 9 from 12-3pm for Tech students preparing to enter the workforce. Registration closes April 30.
• North Forge is hosting their FREE RampUp Weekend 2024 which pulls developers, designers, makers, and entrepreneurs together to take an idea to a minimum viable product (MVP) in just over 50 hours. The event is from April 26-28 on campus at 100 Innovation Dr. Register today!
