General Science Internship Program (GSIP)

Work-integrated learning (WIL) has become fundamental to the Canadian educational experience, equipping students with practical skills and experience necessary for success in the workforce. The Faculty of Science is excited to offer a brand-new work-integrated program to students in the BSc General degree program. The General Science Internship Program (GSIP) will welcome its first group of students in September 2024, and these students will commence their first internships during the summer of 2025. Students will have the option to pursue either a four-month or an eight-month full-time paid internship. Internships can be completed with private companies, industries, government, non-profits and universities, and may be local, national or international.

Students accepted into the program will benefit from personalized services such as resume and cover letter reviews, participation in employability workshops, internship search strategies, interview coaching sessions and support while on the internship. For more information about the General Science Internship Program please refer to the General Science Internship Program (GSIP) web page or contact the program coordinator via email.
