Gen Z: CBC Manitoba wants to hear from you!
Share your stories for broadcast from Jan. 20 to 31
Hey students! Don’t miss your chance to share the stories that matter to you when CBC Manitoba visits Fort Garry campus from Jan. 20 to 31.
Over these two weeks, journalist Gavin Axelrod, videographer Travis Golby, and senior producer of CBC’s Community Connection Nadia Kidwai will dig into the issues that are important to Gen Z. They started at RRC Polytech last November, and now they’re bringing the conversation to UM!
The fun kicks off with a welcome event on Monday, Jan. 20 at 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the UMSU University Centre Fireside Lounge. Come say hi, grab some FREE LUNCH (for up to 500 students), and share a bit about your community.
There are lots of ways to be heard. CBC will set up in the Fireside Lounge with events, live broadcasts and chances for you to share your perspective. Week 2 will also feature a CBC Asks Townhall on issues facing international students.
Or join the weekly panel discussions hosted by CBC on Thursdays at noon, where students take the lead on issues of the day. Free refreshments provided! Text CBC your ideas for topics at 204-296-0846.
Not at Fort Garry Campus? CBC still wants to hear from you! Reach out to Nadia Kidwai at nadia.kidwai@cbc.ca or call 204-296-0846.
